Puja Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

Last Updated: August 20, 2026

Devotees and yajmans arranging a puja or anushthan at Rahu Mandir Paithani are requested to carefully read this policy before making a booking. This policy explains the rules relating to puja booking, payment, date and timing, puja location, postponement, cancellation, and refunds.

1. Puja Booking

The yajman must provide the information required for the selected puja. Depending on the type of puja, this may include the yajman’s name, gotra, contact details, preferred date, and necessary sankalp-related information.

A puja booking will be considered confirmed once the required information has been received, the requested date is available, and the applicable payment has been successfully received.

After confirmation, preparations and necessary religious arrangements may begin.

2. Puja Date and Timing

The puja date and timing will be determined according to temple, Acharya, and puja arrangement availability and the nature of the selected puja.

Detailed rituals such as Rahu Graha Shanti Puja may require four to six hours or longer. Certain special anushthans may require additional time.

The yajman should cooperate with the confirmed date and timing provided during the booking process.

3. Puja Location

Detailed pujas and anushthans may require several hours. Therefore, it may not be possible to conduct the complete puja continuously within the main temple worship area.

Where required, a suitable location near the temple may be arranged or booked. If an external location is required for conducting the puja, the rent, booking charge, and other related expenses shall be borne separately by the yajman.

Depending on the religious arrangement, the Acharyas and Batuk Brahmacharis may perform the required puja and sankalp process at the temple. The remaining mantra jaap and anushthan may then be completed at the Gurukul.

If such jaap or anushthan forms part of the originally booked puja, no additional charge will be taken for it.

The final stage and religious completion of the puja may be performed at the temple.

4. Rescheduling by the Yajman

If a yajman is unable to conduct the puja on the scheduled date, they should inform us as early as possible.

Subject to temple and Acharya availability, the puja may be postponed to another suitable date.

The revised date will depend on the nature of the puja and available arrangements.

5. Cancellation by the Yajman

Once the puja booking has been confirmed, the amount paid for the puja will not be refunded if the yajman cancels the puja for any reason.

Preparations, time allocation, religious materials, Acharya and Batuk Brahmachari arrangements, and other necessary arrangements may begin after confirmation. Therefore, payment made after confirmation will not be refundable.

If the yajman cannot attend or conduct the puja on the scheduled date, they may request postponement to another date, subject to availability.

6. No Refund Under Any Circumstances

Under no circumstances will the amount paid for the puja be refunded.

This rule applies in all circumstances, including:

  • Cancellation by the yajman
  • Failure of the yajman to attend on the scheduled date
  • Travel-related difficulties
  • Weather-related difficulties
  • Natural disasters
  • Landslides or road disruptions
  • Administrative restrictions
  • Health emergencies
  • Unexpected circumstances involving the temple or Gurukul
  • Unexpected circumstances involving an Acharya or Batuk Brahmachari
  • Emergencies caused by any other person or organization
  • Any other unforeseen or emergency circumstance

If the puja cannot be performed on the scheduled date for any such reason, the amount already paid will not be refunded.

Subject to availability and circumstances, the puja may be postponed to another suitable date. In such a case, the amount already paid will remain reserved for the same puja and may be adjusted toward the rescheduled puja.

7. Postponement Due to Temple or Puja Arrangements

If an unexpected circumstance relating to the temple, Gurukul, Acharya, puja location, or any essential religious arrangement makes it impossible to perform the puja on the scheduled date, the puja may be postponed to another suitable date.

In such circumstances also, the amount paid for the puja will not be refunded.

The amount will remain reserved for the same puja and may be adjusted toward the rescheduled date.

8. Failed Payment

If the payment is not completed or fails, the puja booking will not automatically be considered confirmed.

If the amount is debited from the payer’s account but the puja booking is not confirmed, the yajman should contact us with the relevant payment details or proof.

The payment status will be determined after verification with the relevant payment service provider.

9. Additional Puja Location Costs

If an external location near the temple is required for the puja, its rent, booking fee, or other related expenses will not be included in the puja fee unless specifically stated at the time of booking.

All such additional expenses shall be borne by the yajman.

10. Annadan and Bhandara After Puja

If a yajman wishes to voluntarily support Annadan, Bhandara, food items, or the cost of one meal for the Batuk Brahmacharis of the Gurukul after the puja, they may contribute according to their इच्छा and capacity.

Such contribution is completely voluntary and is not a mandatory condition of puja booking.

Any contribution made towards Annadan or Bhandara is separate from the puja fee and will not be refundable.

11. Important Information Before Booking

Before booking a puja, the yajman should carefully review the puja procedure, estimated duration, date, timing, location, and the refund rules stated in this policy.

By booking and making payment for the puja, the yajman will be considered to have read, understood, and accepted these terms.

12. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be modified when necessary due to changes in temple arrangements, puja procedures, or applicable requirements.

Any revised policy may become effective once published on the website.

Purpose of Our Website and Its Contribution to Regional Development

The primary objective of developing this website is to bring Rahu Mandir Paithani, Maa Bunkhal Kalinka Siddhpeeth, Tara Kund Temple, and other important religious and natural attractions in the region to devotees and tourists through a reliable digital platform.

Through this digital platform, we aim to provide devotees visiting from different parts of the country with simple, reliable, and useful information about the temples, religious traditions, puja rituals, travel routes, accommodation facilities, and other essential information related to the region.

The promotion of religious tourism has the potential to create new employment and self-employment opportunities at the local level. This can benefit local communities and may also provide service and employment opportunities for Gurukul students alongside their education.

Our objective is not limited to providing information about the temples. Rather, we aim to promote religious tourism, local development, the educational environment of the Gurukul, and the cultural identity of the region together.

Through this initiative, we hope that more and more devotees will become familiar with the region’s religious and natural heritage, visit the area, and play a positive role in supporting the development of the local community and the Gurukul.
